Harford Research Institute is a non-profit research organization dedicated to exploring the physical sciences and educational research. We are located in scenic Harford County, Maryland, between the Philadelphia metropolitan area and the Baltimore-Washington region.
What We Do
We engage in basic research in the physical sciences. Our work has included research on outer planets and interplanetary space supported under NASA grants and in collaboration with major laboratories and universities. We also perform educational research in support of the goal of enabling students in secondary and post-secondary schools to understand how science is practiced and to utilize some of the methods needed to manipulate modern data sets.Our current focus is on understanding quantum fields, their associated particles, and the physical and mathematical characteristics of space.
